ICC World Test Championship: WTC Point Table: Australia retained the Ashes Trophy after beating England by 185 runs in the fourth Test match at Old Trafford Stadium.  The final wicket for Australia was taken by Josh Hazlewood.  He lbw Craig Overton and bowled England's second innings for 197 runs.  Australia lead 2–1 in the five-match series.  After this win, Australia is at number four in the ICC Test World Cup points table with 56 points.  In the ICC Test World Cup point table, India remain on top with 120 points.
Australia had won the Ashes series last time and this time too they have now taken a 2–1 lead.  After this win, the Ashes will now remain with Australia.  If England now wins the fifth and final Test match, then they can only equal the series 2-2, but they cannot take away the Ashes from Australia.
Australia declared their first innings by scoring 497 runs for eight wickets, and then took a lead of 196 runs, all out for 301 in their first innings.  Australia declared 186 for six in their second innings and set a target of 383 runs to win in front of England.  In response to this target, hosts England were all out for 197 runs in 91.3 overs and thus Australia won the fourth Test match by 185 runs.

What is the system of points of ICC World Test Championship-

In fact, according to the point system of the World Test Championship, if you win a two-match series, you will get 60 points, 30 points if you tie and 20 points of the draw, while there will not be a single point if you lose.  No matter how many series of matches are lost, the team will not get any points.  In the three-match series, there will be 40 points for winning, 20 points for tie and 13 points for draw.  The winning team in the four-match series will have 30 points, 15 points if a tie and 10 points are drawn.  Whereas in the five-match series, there will be 24 points for winning, 12 points for tie and eight points for draw.  (Both teams will get the same points if there is a tie and a draw.)
