Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani died on Sunday at the age of 95

Ram Jethmalani, the country's senior advocate, died on Sunday at the age of 95.  Veteran Ram Jethmalani had been ill for a long time.

However, for the last time Ram Jethmalani was at his Delhi residence, where he breathed his last.  His death has dealt a big blow not only to the judiciary, but also to the politics of the country.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said during this time that he was deeply pained to hear about the demise of India's veteran lawyer and former Union Minister Ramjathmalani ji.
Jethmalani was not only an eminent lawyer, but also a great human being who was full of life.

Let us tell you that Jethmalani had also fought many famous cases in the country during his lifetime.  In which the case of the culprits of the Indira Gandhi murder case, Don Haji Mastan of Mumbai is prominent.

He also became a lawyer in the Harshad Mehta case.  Ram Jethmalani remained active in politics with a big lawyer.  She was the Law Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government.
Along with this, in 2004, he also contested against former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from Lucknow seat.

He was currently a Rajya Sabha MP from RJD.  Jethmalani was very much discussed for his many cases and statements.

Mahesh, son of Ram Jethmalani, told that his (Ram Jethmalani) funeral will be performed at the Lodhi Road crematorium this evening.

Prime Minister Modi expressed grief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the death of famous lawyer and former Law Minister Ram Jethmalani.  Narendra Modi tweeted, with the death of Ram Jethmalani ji, India lost an extraordinary lawyer and a respected public figure.  Ram Jethmalani has made rich contributions both in the Court and Parliament.  He was funny, courageous and never hesitated to speak boldly on any subject.
PM Modi said, one of the best aspects of Shri Ram Jethmalani ji was his ability to speak his mind and, he did it without any fear.  During the dark days of the Emergency, his fight for freedom and public freedom will be remembered.  Helping the needy was an integral part of his personality.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted, I consider myself lucky that I had many opportunities to interact with Ram Jethmalani.  My condolences to his family, friends and fans in these sad moments.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also expressed grief over the death of Ram Jethmalani, writing, I am deeply saddened by the death of veteran lawyer and former Law Minister Ram Jethmalani.  His talent, eloquence, powerful advocacy and understanding of law will remain a worthy example in the legal profession.  My deepest condolences.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed grief over the death of Ram Jethmalani.  Arvind Kejriwal said, an institution in itself, he shaped the criminal law in post-independence India.  His void will never be filled and his name will be written in golden words in legal history.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted expressing grief over the demise of Ram Jethmalani.  He wrote, bye friend.

Ram Jethmalani advocated many famous and controversial cases.  There are cases of killers of Indira Gandhi case, cases like Don Haji Mastan and Harshad Mehta.  Ram Jethmalani was a famous lawyer as well as a politician.  He was currently a Rajya Sabha MP from RJD.
