Gandhi Jayanti :: reminds us of Bapu's spinning wheel

While people are doing every work with machines except cottage industry and domestic works, a village resident of the area is exemplary for elderly women.  Today, with the help of household chores, spinning wheel is spinning for hours today.  Dari and Ban are preparing from torn old clothes.

His charkha is reminiscent of Bapu's charkha. 75-year-old Ramwati alias Ramrati Devi, resident of Aterna village in the region, is also exemplary for other women by defeating old age.  She spends several hours a day spinning her hands with household chores.  Out of utility, torn and outdated clothing does not allow waste.  Collects old clothes.  Through thread, it gives the form of a little thick rope with thread.  Dari is also made from it.  Cots are also woven together.  Ramrati says that one avoids the useless controversy.  Other out-of-use clothes also become hideouts.  Also, the expenses incurred on buying banns for weaving of carpets and cots are also saved.
Charkhaamroha is a symbol of independence.  Ramwati alias Ramrati Devi, resident of Aterna village in the area, says the charkha is a symbol of our independence.  In the past, spinning wheel used to run from house to house.  People used to prepare their clothes in their homes.  The father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was also focused on small and cottage industries.  In the war of independence, he did not forget to drive the charkha daily.  She says that at least if the spinning wheel is run in all the houses, the torn and old clothes will not go waste.  The income of the house will also increase.
