Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, who is facing punishment in the money laundering case, has got bail. The Lahore High Court granted his bail application on medical grounds.

The bench of two judges granted him bail on two sureties of one crore each.

Former Prime Minister's doctor Mahmood Ayaz told the court that the illness of Nawaz Sharif has not yet been identified, but his platelets are rapidly decreasing. Platelets are placed on one side, but the plateslets again decrease in the next 24 hours.

He told Adalat that due to medical complications, treatment is also being taken.

Nawaz Sharif, 69, has been the Prime Minister of Pakistan three times. Last year, he was sentenced to seven years in prison in a corruption case involving the Chaudhary Sugar Mill.

Although he continues to deny the allegations. He says that these allegations are inspired by politics.

Nawaz was admitted to the hospital on Monday. His party PML-N had expressed concern about his health.

His lawyer Azam Nazir told the news agency Reuters after the verdict came, "We had asked for bail on the grounds that his health was deteriorating and he needed better treatment."

Nawaz Sharif was currently being treated by a team of 10 doctors in a hospital in Lahore.

An application for bail of Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz was also filed in the court, but the court deferred hearing on it till Monday 28 October.

The court directed the Punjab Advocate General, Ahmed Jamal Sikhera, to tell the court whether any orders have been issued to stay with Maryam Nawaz to look after his father.

Ahmed Jamal Sikhera told the court that the names of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were included in the exit control list.

Nawaz Sharif's doctor Mahmood Ayaz told the court that the situation of the former prime minister is worrisome. Doctor Ayaz said that the reason for the low platelets has not been known.

According to Dr. Ayaz, Nawaz Sharif had chest pain on Thursday, due to which he could not be given the necessary medicines.

Nawaz Sharif's doctor said that if platelets reach 30 thousand, then their treatment can be started.

On the bench's inquiry, it was said on behalf of the prosecutor that if treatment is not possible in jail, then there is no other option. Counsel for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said that human life is precious.

Imran Khan's message

Earlier, State Health Minister Yasmin Rashid in the Pakistan government led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a message to him that whatever the court decided regarding the bail on the basis of health of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The government will accept it just like that.

Talking to the media in Lahore, Yasmin Rashid said that he has called this press conference only with the intention that the talk of Prime Minister Imran Khan should be conveyed to the public through the media.

He said that whatever decision the court will take regarding Nawaz Sharif will not only be accepted but it will also be supported.

Earlier on Friday morning, a bench of two judges of the Lahore High Court ordered the submission of the recent medical report of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during the bail plea hearing.

Yasmin Rashid said that during a meeting with Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, he had told the President of the Muslim League that if he wants to call any big doctor from abroad, then he should call Pakistan.

The state health minister says that he told all the doctors of the medical board clearly that he should report the health report of Nawaz Sharif without any pressure and tell the court what is right.

Yasmin Rashid also said that Nawaz Sharif has told Doctor Shamsi that he should be absolutely certain about his treatment in Pakistan.
