Indian team announced for T20 series against West Indies

In place of opener Shikhar Dhawan, youngster Sanju Samson has been included in the Indian cricket team for the three Twenty20 match series starting against the West Indies from 6 December. Even against Bangladesh, Sanju got a place in the T20 team, but he could not get a chance to play in a single match. However, after the injury of regular opener Dhawan, he has been included in the team for the Windies series.

Dhawan suffered a left leg injury during the domestic T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match between Maharashtra and Delhi last week and according to the Medical Board of Cricket Board of India (BCCI), Dhawan sustained a deep injury to his knee. In the statement issued by the BCCI, "Dhawan has got stitches in his leg and he has not been able to recover from him yet."

It will take time to recover his injury. ”In Dhawan's absence, it is possible that India fielded Lokesh Rahul along with Rohit Sharma in the opening. Rahul has done well for Karnataka in Mushtaq Ali and in six innings he has scored 225 runs at a strike rate of 145.16. He had scored a big innings of 84 against Punjab. Sanju has played six matches for his team Kerala in Mushtaq Ali but his performance in the domestic tournament was not satisfactory and he played a single half-century. Earlier, he had scored the biggest individual innings in the history of the tournament with an unbeaten 212 runs at Vijay Hazare. This was his first century in List A cricket, due to which he got a chance to return to the national team.

Sanju played in India's Twenty20 team for Zimbabwe in the year 2015.
He was to participate in a conditioning camp organized for local players at Talegaon in Rajasthan Royals.

He is currently training under the guidance of his personal coach Biju George after playing in Mushtaq Ali.

George has been a former fielding coach of the Indian women's team. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha underwent finger surgery in Mumbai on Tuesday. Saha, 35, did an amazing wicketkeeping in the historic Pink Ball Test against Bangladesh, India.

But after the series, the fragment has confirmed the fracture in his left finger.
According to the BCCI, Saha's surgery has been successful and she is from the National of Bengaluru

Will do rehabilitation at Cricket Academy.

But it is not clear how long it will take for them to recover fully. The Indian team is scheduled to visit New Zealand in February.
