Jaipur serial bomb blast: verdict on accused today

On 13 May 2008, 71 people were killed in Jaipur bomb blast.


 The special court will pronounce the verdict on five accused on Wednesday in connection with the serial bomb blasts at eight places in Perkote on May 13, 2008, 11 years ago in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Special Court Judge Ajay Kumar Sharma has decided to give the verdict in the case after hearing the arguments of other parties including the state government in the case. Ajay Sharma is the eighth judge to hear the case, before that seven judges have heard the case. Significantly, 71 people were killed and 185 people were injured in Jaipur bomb blast.

The court will give its verdict on the five accused Shahbaz Hussain, Mohammed Saif, Mohammad Sarwar Azmi, Saifur Rahman and Salman, arrested in the special court in Jaipur bomb blast cases. At the same time, the police have not been able to arrest the four other accused involved in the bomb blast case, Shadab, Ariz, Mohammad Khalid and Sajid.

Two accused in Hyderabad jail

On the other hand, two accused involved in Jaipur blast were arrested by Hyderabad police. Both are currently lodged in Hyderabad Jail. Efforts are on to bring them to Jaipur for questioning in the cases registered in Jaipur. The first accused of these accused are Asadullah Akhtar alias Bani alias Daniel alias Asad alias Tabrez alias Yunus alias Mamu alias Rais alias Haider alias Sameer. He is also a resident of Azamgarh in UP. At the same time, the second accused is Ahmed Siddi Bappa alias Yasin Bhatkal. It is also lodged in Hyderabad jail along with Asadullah.

Ats headquarters were established in Jaipur.

Also, the research of eight cases registered at Kotwali and Mankachak police station was handed over to ATS Rajasthan.

The ATS has named 11 terrorists in these blasts.

Of these, five accused were arrested by ATS Rajasthan.

Hyderabad police arrested two terrorists.

One was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police last year.

At the same time, the three accused are still absconding.
