Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that it is very important to make arrangements for speedy disposal of crime related to women across the country. He also said that he will write a letter to all Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of the High Court that arrangements should be made to settle the minor rape case in just 2 months.

After the incidents of rape involving women in several cities including Hyderabad and Unnao, the Union Law Minister said that it is very important to make arrangements for speedy disposal of crime related to women across the country. He also said that he will write a letter to the Chief Ministers of all the states and the Chief Justices of the High Court that arrangements should be made to settle the minor rape case in just 2 months.

Law Minister Prasad said, 'I am going to write a letter appealing to the Chief Ministers of all the states and the judges of the High Court that arrangements should be made to settle the investigation of rape cases involving minors within 2 months. I have given all necessary instructions in this regard to my department.

He said, 'It has been proposed to set up 1023 new fast track courts across the country. Of these, a consensus has been reached on 400 and more than 160 have already started. Apart from this, 704 fast track courts are in the pipeline.

Demonstration in many cities regarding security


Ravi Shankar Prasad's statement came at that time after the death of the rape victim in Hyderabad and Unnao, there has been a lot of anger across the country. From Unnao to Lucknow and the capital Delhi, there are strong demonstrations.

In Delhi, a candle march was organized from Rajghat to India Gate on Saturday evening for the safety of women. During this time the Delhi Police tried to stop the protesters, the anger of the protesters increased further.

The protesters proceeded and broke the police barricade. After this, Delhi Police used water cannons to stop the protesters. During this time 3 protesting women also fainted.
