Delhi Elections 2020: AAP can bet on big faces, this leader in the ticket race

Delhi Elections 2020: AAP can bet on big faces, this leader in the ticket race

Apart from giving tickets to big leaders, the Aam Aadmi Party can also cut the ticket of many MLAs this time.  According to AAP sources, the party has conducted a survey on the functioning of MLAs at many levels.  The party will not hesitate to cut the ticket of the MLAs whose work will be negative in the survey.

The first list of candidates can come soon

Preparing to bet on big leaders again

Fear of rebellion in the party due to ticket cut

The nomination process for the Delhi Assembly elections is starting from Tuesday.  In such a situation, all three major parties of the state have started preparing for ticket distribution.  Leaders have been competing for tickets from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party to the main opposition party BJP and Congress.  Many leaders have camped in the office of the AAP, which won 67 out of 70 in Delhi in 2015, seeking tickets.  But this time the AAP can bet on its big leaders.

There will be big bets on these faces!

A meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) can be called soon in which the ticket sharing is to be discussed.  Only after this brainstorm, the first list of candidates can be released.  According to the sources of the Aam Aadmi Party, this time the party can also field those faces who have contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.  These include the party's youth leader Raghav Chadha and

Atishi's name is at the forefront.  Although both leaders have not formally responded to the desire to contest elections, according to sources, the party is considering the candidature of both of them.

At the same time, Durgesh Pathak's candidature from Karaval Nagar seat is being considered as fixed.  Durgesh Pathak was in charge of 35 seats in the 2015 assembly elections.  At the same time, the party's elder leader Dilip Pandey can also get a chance again in this election.  Pandey has contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the North-East Delhi seat but was defeated in front of Manoj Tiwari.  It is believed that Dilip Pandey can contest from Timarpur assembly seat.

Some seats have almost fixed names

The Aam Aadmi Party can also consider the candidature of former Congress leader Prahlad Sahani on Chandni Chowk seat.  The picture regarding Atishi's candidature and assembly seat is not clear yet but it is believed that he can be fielded from any seat in East Delhi as Atishi had contested the Lok Sabha elections from this area.  Apart from this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can contest from New Delhi Assembly seat for the third time, while the candidature of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia from Patparganj seat is also almost certain.

The candidature of Health Minister Satyendar Jain from Shakurbasti seat and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai from Babarpur are also almost certain.  At the same time, churn is still going on in the AAP regarding the remaining seats.

 Work ticket

Apart from giving tickets to big leaders, the Aam Aadmi Party can also cut the ticket of many MLAs this time.  According to AAP sources, the party has conducted a survey on the functioning of MLAs at many levels.  The party will not hesitate to cut the ticket of the MLAs whose work will be negative in the survey.  However, no information has been available on the number of such MLAs.  It is obvious that in the eyes of the Aam Aadmi Party, the MLAs whose work is good and those who get positive reports in their favor will get a chance again.

According to the information received through sources till Aaj Tak, tickets of 8 to 10 MLAs can be cut.  No Aam Aadmi Party leader has given a formal statement so far and has kept a constant silence regarding the ticket.  This is because the party leaders are afraid of rebellion due to AAP cutting the ticket.  This is the reason why the Philhar Party does not want to say anything officially on the ticket distribution and the leaders are silent.  It is believed that a PAC meeting can be held within the next two days, in which candidates' names can be announced on some seats.
