If the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC) are going on in many cities of Uttar Pradesh, then the Yogi government's action against these protesters has also started.  A case of violation of section 144 has been registered against around 1200 protesters across the state.

The Yogi Adityanath government has registered cases against 60 women in Aligarh, 300 women in Prayagraj, 200 women in Etawah and 700 men.  Even after the case is registered, protests continue from Ghantaghar in Lucknow to Mansoor Ali Park in Prayagraj.  Muslim women are also demonstrating in Rae Bareli townhall.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged at Hazratganj police station against UP Shia Central Waqf Board President Wasim Rizvi for making derogatory remarks against women protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at Ghantaghar.

The protest of women in Lucknow has been going on for the past one week.  The police showed strictness against the protesting women and filed a case.  Two days ago, three cases were filed in Lucknow by the UP Police.  It also includes the names of two daughters of the famous poet Munawar Rana.

In UP, Kanpur, Etah, Etawah, Aligarh, there has been mobilization against CAA and women are demonstrating.  Women say that till the CAA the Modi government does not withdraw.  The strike will continue.

Yogi attacked Congress in Kanpur

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday attended a rally organized in support of the CAA in Kanpur, raising questions on the husbands of women sitting on the protest against the CAA.  Yogi Adityanath said that men are sleeping in quilts in homes and women are sitting on dharna.  Women are saying that men have said that they have become disabled.

Addressing the CAA's support rally in Kanpur, CM Yogi said that it has been India's tradition to protect the refugees.  There is a law for the minorities who are being tortured.  Hindus, Christians and Sikhs are not important for those who are protesting.  Now Christian is also not important for Congress.  She says that the people of ISI are important.
