Under 19 World Cup: Bangladesh is such a big challenge for India

Under 19 World Cup: Bangladesh is such a big challenge for India
In 1988, for the first time, the ICC organized the Under-19 World Cup cricket tournament in Australia.

Host Australia also became the first champion after defeating Pakistan in the final.

Who knew that Inzamamul Haq, Mushtaq Ahmed and Basit Ali, who played for Pakistan in the same World Cup, would later prove to be Pakistan's star players as well.

But it proved that listening to the under-19 cricket tournament may sound like junior cricket but its echo is heard far and wide.

Now the 13th edition of the Under-19 World Cup is going on in South Africa these days and its final will be played on Sunday between the four-time champions India and Bangladesh.  India has reached its finals for the seventh time.  On the other hand Bangladesh will play the final for the first time after all the ups and downs.

When did India win under whose captaincy

Earlier, in 2000, India won it for the first time under the captaincy of Mohammad Kaif.  Yuvraj Singh was also included in the same team.

After this, in 2008, India became the champion under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

India became the champion for the third time under the leadership of Unmukt Chand in the year 2012 and the fourth time under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw in the year 2018.

Today Prithvi Shaw is playing the role of opener in India's ODI team.

 This new trio looks strong

Now when India will face Bangladesh to become the champion for the fifth time, Yashasvi Jaiswal of India has already made a mark at home before the final, especially after scoring an unbeaten century in the semi-final against Pakistan.

He has so far scored 312 runs in five matches.

Apart from him, in bowling, Ravi Bishnoi has taken 13 wickets in five matches and Karthik Tyagi has taken 10 wickets.

It seems as if India reached the final on the strength of this trio, but it is not so.  The player who also got the opportunity made his significant contribution match by match.

If seen, no team has been able to compete with India in the entire tournament so far and could not take 10 wickets of India in any match.

Under Priyam Garg's captaincy, India beat New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Australia, Japan and Pakistan in their journey to the finals.

 Journey to the final

India started brilliantly by defeating Sri Lanka by 90 runs in their very first group match.  In this match, the Sri Lankan team could score 207 runs in response to India's 297 runs for four wickets.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal 59, captain Priyam Garg 56, Dhruv Jurail 52, Tilak Verma 46 and Siddhesh Veer managed to score 44 not out.

India's Akash Singh, Siddhesh Veer and Ravi Bishnoi took 2-2 wickets in the same name.

This match also proved that India's batsmen and bowlers are in full form.

In the next match, India included Japan for just 40 runs and won by 10 wickets.

In their third and final group match, India beat New Zealand by 44 runs based on the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

In the quarter-finals, India tasted defeat to Australia by 74 runs.

After this, India defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets in the semi-final in a surprising manner.  Batting first, Pakistan could score 172 runs in 43.1 overs.

In reply, the target of 173 runs for victory, India scored 105 not out by opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and 59 not out by Divyansh Saxena.

Won only in 35.2 overs of damage.

After reaching the final, India's captain Priyam Garg said that his team's bowling is the best.

His three fast bowlers Akash Singh, Karthik Tyagi and Sushant Mishra are throwing balls at a speed of 140 km.

Both spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Earthv are doing very well.  He has complete control over bowling.

At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal believes that scoring a century in the World Cup is like a dream come true for him.

He even says that he will not forget the century against Pakistan.

 Power of bangladesh

On the other hand, Bangladesh is also invincible like India in this tournament so far.

He defeated Scotland and Zimbabwe in group matches, while he faced rain against Pakistan.

Bangladesh defeated South Africa in the quarter-finals and New Zealand in the semi-finals.

India will have to stay away from some players from Bangladesh.  The first name of these is the batsman Mahmudul Hasan.  In the semi-finals, he has scored an unbeaten 35 against Scotland and 38 not out against Zimbabwe, in addition to a 100-run century against New Zealand.

Apart from these, Tanzeed Hasan has also scored 80 against South Africa, 34 against Pakistan and 32 against Zimbabwe in the rain-canceled match.

In bowling, Khabh leg-spinner Rakibul Hasan has so far taken 11 wickets and Khabh fast bowler Shourieful Islam has taken seven wickets.

The Under-19 World Cup cricket tournament has proved to be the first step of success for Indian players.

Hardly any country has given so many players to the Under-19 World Cup.

Not only Kaif, Yuvraj, Virat got many players

Apart from the players mentioned so far in India, Virat Amre, Nayan Mongia, Venkatapathy Raju, Parthiv Patel, Irfan Pathan, Stuart Binny, Robin Uthappa, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey, Ravindra Jadeja  Players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Khalil Ahmed, and Shubman Gill have been found.  Do you wonder so many names?
