Political uproar in MP: Congress bid - BJP holds 8 of our MLAs hostage

Political turmoil has started in the politics of Madhya Pradesh.  The Congress has accused the BJP of holding eight of its MLAs hostage in a hotel in Haryana.  Minister in the Madhya Pradesh government Jitu Patwari said that other BJP leaders including former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, former ministers Narottam Mishra, Bhupendra Singh and Rampal Singh forcibly took eight MLAs to a hotel in Haryana as part of the conspiracy.

Jitu Patwari said, 'The MLAs told us that they were forcibly held hostage by BJP leaders.'  He said that we are trying to bring back the MLAs.  Four of them are back.  Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the situation is under control.  Legislators will return.  According to Congress sources, out of the eight MLAs who have been taken to Haryana, four are from Congress, one is an Independent while the rest are from BSP and SP.

After the political turmoil in the state, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that BJP's Rampal Singh, Narottam Mishra, Arvind Bhadoria, Sanjay Pathak were going to pay money to the MLAs held hostage in the hotel.  He said, "If there had been a raid, they would have been caught ... We think there were 10-11 MLAs, only 4 are with them now, they too will come back to us."

Digvijay Singh further said, 'When we came to know, Jeetu Patwari and Jayawardhan Singh went there.  Those whom we had contact with were ready to come back to us.  We were in contact with Bisahulal Singh and Ramabai.  Ramabai is back, even when BJP tries to stop her.

Earlier, Digvijay Singh on Monday accused the BJP government of trying to destabilize the MP government.  Under this, the BJP is offering a lot of money to many Congress MLAs.  In retaliation, Shivraj Singh Chauhan accused the Congress leader of making false statements.  BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma had said that people do not take the veteran Congress leader seriously.
